Joanne sat there expectantly, jiggling her knees. It was her thirteenth try. Where did she go wrong? She had put her heart and soul into it. She had starved and cried. Yet, every single time the response was ‘We think it is great work, but the majority has decided not to publish. Good luck.’ As she chewed her fingernails, Barry peered out from behind her draft and read out loud, “Mr. and Mrs. Dursley of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much… I want to publish this!”
Indu B – Even as individuals, we live by our likes & dislikes. As family, we go by the majority when we decide on anything, be it a choice of movie or eating out etc. As an extension, the society goes by the decision of majority. Just as a dissenting family member who doesn’t like the choice of others, there would always be a minority everywhere. Why bring in Trump here, poor fellow!

Thank you for your comment. My point was to say that while we live by what majority says, it need always make sense. And the biggest example of that was You-Know-Who!
